TestResources tensile grips includes mechanical screw vise grips are compatible with Instron® E/M systems, MTS® test machines and any other tensile tester using our grip-to-machine adapters. Vice grips offer an affordable and efficient solution to gripping tensile test specimens at loads up to 11,250 lb (50 kN). Screw action grips are available with many types of standard grip faces or jaws to handle the wide range of round, flat and irregular sample types and geometries. Interchangeable grip jaw faces come in sizes and choices including surfaces such as smooth surface, rubber faced, serrated or pyramid cut, V cut for rounds, wave or corrugated surfaces for slippery samples such as textiles and tissues, and diamond embedded surfaces for very hard samples. Line contact and special coated faces are also available. These grips are good for static tensile and limited tension-tension cyclic tests (not high cycle fatigue). Specimen types include components, thin sheets, films, foils, threads, plastic tapes, wires, fabric and soft materials. |
