Fatigue Test Equipment is typically more expensive than static rated test equipment because they perform both static and fatigue testing applications and can operate at higher test speeds. In general fatigue testing processes are more complex and require higher skills, experience and test equipment features.

Load and strain controlled fatigue tests demand a servocontrolled or closed loop control system, such as our model 2370 controller.

Servohydraulic systems produce relatively high loads and high speeds, or high frequencies. Servo-all-electric systems are more compact, less expensive and produce much better control for lower force tests.

A fatigue test machine will cost 2x to 3X the price of any static test machine. If your material, product or device experiences cyclic loading in tension and compression, or repeated loading, then you may need a fatigue tester, because the behavior of your product will differ from a static loaded condition.

Test parameters to configure a test system include load, test frequency, sample stiffness, test method type, sample geometry, and strain amplitude.
