TestResources pneumatic grips may be used with Instron® E/M systems and other tensile or compression testers with adapters available from TestResources. Pnuematic grips serve static tensile and cyclic tension testing applications involving foils, threads, fine wires, fabric, thin sheets, films, plastic tapes, and soft materials. A Pneumatic grip is air driven which enable quick sample insertion and reliable air grip action. Pneumatic Jaw faces or clamp faces are available to match different test requirements including sample size, thickness and surface types. Interchangeable grip jaw faces come in various sizes and include smooth ground, rubber coated, wave or corrugated, and even diamond surfaces. Line contact, special coated faces and Vee Wedge jaws are available. Pnuematic grips work best in static tensile and cyclic tensile testing applications involving foils, threads, fine wires, fabric, thin sheets, films, plastic tapes, and soft materials. |
